Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Kareva Techsol collects through kareva.in, our services and our WordPress plugins, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short where we can and collect as little as we need.
1. Who we are
Kareva Techsol ("Kareva", "we", "us") is a web design and development studio based in India. We run kareva.in, provide design, development and marketing services, and make WordPress plugins. For the personal data described in this policy, we are the data controller (the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).

2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and project enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, company and whatever you write in your message.
- Support requests: your name, email, the site you need help with and any details or screenshots you send. If you give us access to your website to fix a problem, we use it only for that and ask you to remove it afterwards.
- Purchases: your name, email, billing address and licence details. Card and payment details go straight to our payment provider (see section 5); we never see or store your full card number.
- WhatsApp: if you message us through the chat button, WhatsApp shares your phone number, profile name and the messages with us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, kept in our hosting provider's server logs for security and troubleshooting.
- Your cookie choice: a small cookie remembering what you allowed in our cookie banner.
- Usage statistics: only if you allow analytics cookies, we record which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site, to improve it.
3. Our WordPress plugins
Our plugins run on your own website. What they send depends on the plugin:

| Kareva AI SEO | When you ask it to write or improve content, the plugin sends that content directly from your site to the AI provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google), using your own API key. It does not pass through Kareva and we never see it. That provider's privacy policy applies to what you send. |
| Kareva Form Guard | Its honeypot and built-in checks run on your own server. If you turn on a third-party CAPTCHA service, that service receives visitors' data under its own privacy policy. |
If you install our plugins on a website, you are responsible for that website's own privacy notice to your visitors.
4. How we use your data, and why we're allowed to
- To reply to you and provide our services, because you asked us to or because we have a contract with you.
- To sell, license, update and support our plugins, to fulfil our contract with you.
- To send emails about your purchase, such as receipts, licence keys, renewal reminders and important security updates. These are part of the service.
- To send news and offers, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site and our products secure and working, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve them. This is our legitimate interest.
- To follow the law, for example tax and accounting records.
Where we rely on your consent (analytics cookies, marketing emails, plugin usage opt-in), you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing doesn't affect what we did before.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Freemius, Inc. (USA): plugin checkout, payments, licensing, invoices and sales tax. Freemius acts as the reseller of our paid plugins. Freemius privacy policy.
- Our web hosting and email providers: to run the site and handle email.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
- Analytics providers: only if you allow analytics cookies.
- Professional advisers and authorities: our accountants and lawyers when needed, and government or law enforcement bodies when the law requires it.
- A buyer of our business: if Kareva Techsol or a product is sold or merged, under this same policy.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Necessary cookies, which the site needs to work and stay secure, including the one that remembers your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Analytics cookies, which help us understand how the site is used. Off until you allow them.
- Marketing cookies, which measure our advertising. Off until you allow them.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
7. International transfers
We are based in India and some of our providers, including Freemius, are in other countries such as the United States. When your data is transferred, we rely on the protections required by the applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for data from the EU and UK.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and support conversations: up to 3 years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Customer, licence and invoice records: as long as your licence is active, then 8 years for tax and accounting law.
- Client project records: for the length of the project and as required by our contract and the law.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India's DPDP Act and the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it, unless we have to keep it by law;
- restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing;
- send it to you or another company in a usable format;
- withdraw any consent you gave.
In India you may also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or can't act yourself. Email connect@kareva.in and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to people who need it, strong passwords with two-factor sign-in where available, and regular updates. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
Our site and products are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell customers by email.
