Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use kareva.in, download or buy our WordPress plugins, or contact us about our services. By using the site or our products, you agree to them. Please read them, and ask us if anything is unclear.

1. About us

kareva.in is run by Kareva Techsol ("Kareva", "we", "us"), Karukachalil, Kottayam, Pin - 686 630, India. You can reach us at connect@kareva.in. "You" means the person using the site or our products, or the business you act for.

2. Using this website

• You may use the site to learn about us, contact us and get our products. Don't misuse it: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.
• We work to keep the information accurate, but it may change, and the site may sometimes be unavailable.
• Links to other websites are for convenience; we aren't responsible for their content.
• How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

3. Our plugins and licences

The software is GPL

Our WordPress plugins are released under the GNU General Public License (version 2 or later), like WordPress itself. You may use, study, change and share the code under that licence. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the GPL.

What a paid licence gives you

A paid plan gives you a licence key that unlocks the Pro features and gives you access to updates and support for the number of websites in your plan (1, 5 or 20 sites) for as long as the plan is active.

• A site counts once it's activated. You can deactivate a site and use the licence on another one at any time.
• Development, staging and local copies of an activated site don't count against your limit.
• Licence keys are for you or your clients' sites. Don't publish, share or resell a key. We may deactivate keys that are being shared.
• Agencies may use their licence on client sites while the licence covers those sites.

Free plugins

Kareva Chat Button, Kareva Owl Slider for Elementor and the free versions of our other plugins are free to use on any number of sites. Support for free plugins is best-effort.

4. Buying, prices and renewals

• Our payment partner: checkout, payment, invoices and sales tax are handled by Freemius, Inc., who acts as reseller of our paid plugins. Its terms also apply to your payment.
• Prices are shown in US dollars on the product page and at checkout. Taxes such as VAT or GST are added where the law requires. We may change prices for new purchases at any time; a price change for a renewal will be emailed to you before it applies.
• Renewals: monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. We email you before a yearly renewal. Cancel any time from the plugin's Account page or by emailing us; the licence works until the end of the paid period.
• If you don't renew, the plugin keeps working with its free features, but Pro features, updates and support stop.
• Lifetime plans include updates and support for as long as we sell and maintain that plugin.
• Trials work as described on the product page and in our Refund Policy.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee.

5. Updates and support

• Support is by email at support@kareva.in, Monday to Friday, Indian Standard Time. We aim to reply within 1 to 2 working days.
• Support covers installing, setting up and using our plugins, and fixing bugs in them. It doesn't cover custom code, problems caused by other plugins or themes we can't fix, or work on your site beyond our plugins. We're happy to quote for that as a service.
• Keep backups of your site. Test updates on a staging copy if your site is important to your business.
• We support current versions of WordPress and PHP as stated on each plugin's page, and may stop supporting old versions.

6. Third-party services

Some features connect to services we don't control, such as WhatsApp, Elementor, WooCommerce, CAPTCHA providers and AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and prices. For Kareva AI SEO, you supply your own API key and pay the provider directly for what you use; check AI-written content before you publish it.

You are responsible for how you configure our plugins on your site, and for your site's own legal requirements. For example, Best Cookie Consent and Kareva Security Headers are tools to help you, not legal advice, and using them doesn't by itself make a site compliant with GDPR or any other law.

7. Client services

Design, development, SEO, marketing and other projects are governed by the proposal or agreement we sign with you, which covers scope, timelines, payment and ownership of the work. Where it says nothing on a point, these terms apply.

8. Ownership and trademarks

The Kareva name and logo, our plugin names and the content of this site (text, graphics and design) belong to Kareva Techsol. The GPL covers our plugin code, not our names and logos: you may not use them in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we didn't.

WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, WhatsApp and other names belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

9. No warranty

We build our products carefully and test them, but they are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that they'll be error-free, work with every plugin, theme or host, or meet every need. This doesn't affect our refund guarantee, and it doesn't limit any rights you have that the law says can't be excluded.

10. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows:

• we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, revenue, data or business, or for losses caused by your site, host, other software or services;
• our total liability to you for any claim about a product is limited to what you paid us for that product in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

11. Ending a licence

You can stop using our products at any time. We may suspend or cancel a licence, without refund, if you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling licence keys, or using our products or site unlawfully. We'll tell you first where we reasonably can.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If there's a problem, please email us first; most issues can be sorted out quickly. If a dispute can't be resolved, the courts of Kottayam, Kerala, India, will have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live or your right to go to your local courts.

13. Changes and general terms

• We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and email customers about significant changes. The terms in force when you buy apply to that purchase until it renews.
• If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your licence to someone else without asking us; we usually say yes.
• Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
